This year marks the 70th anniversary of the United Nations. To celebrate this milestone, Norman Rockwell has organized a unique exhibition, currently on view in the Visitors Centre of the UN's New York City headquarters. We The Peoples: Norman Rockwell's United Nations displays the artist's 1953 drawing, The United Nations; 1960 painting, Golden Rule; along with related works, and a rare series of photographs documenting Rockwell's visit to the
UN in the early 1950s.

On Monday, June 29, an opening reception was held for the exhibition, with UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon; Deputy Secretary-General, Jan Eliasson; and many other distinguished guests in attendance.
