Dance!
Saturday, January 11,
1 to 4 p.m.


Discover dance during this special afternoon inspired by Dancing Princesses and the art of Ruth Sanderson. Talented dancers from Berkshire Ballroom will demonstrate their technique and teach basic ballroom steps. Professional Dancer and Archivist Eugenia Kim will offer an illustrated look at dance as it relates to the Exhibition. Enjoy tours of the exhibition, readings and art making for all. Educators Symposium

True Stories: Non-Fiction Children's Books in the Classroom Saturday, January 25, 9 to 4 p.m.

Explore the world of non-fiction picture books and the wide range of Common Core-ready resources that are available to help educators lay a solid foundation for their students, across grade levels and disciplines. This lively day with noted illustrators and authors: David Macaulay, Wendell Minor and Florence Minor, and other specialists in the field, will offer curriculum connections to non-fiction children's literature that are sure to inspire.
