One of director John Ford’s earliest surviving films, Just Pals features Western star Buck Jones as an out of work drifter (Bim) who befriends an orphaned boy (Bill). Kindred spirits, Bim and Bill assist each other through a series of misadventures, ultimately building a familial bond.
FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
A Rockwellian Film Series
Fridays July 8, August 12, September 2, October 7
5:30 p.m.
Similar to the way Norman Rockwell inspired and moved everyday Americans through his covers for The Saturday Evening Post, films often provide a glimpse of a romanticized America. Join us for this monthly series of classic and current films which explore themes featured in Rockwell’s paintings. Each film will be introduced by Curator of Exhibitions Jesse Kowalski to provide context, followed by an audience Q&A. Refreshments will be served.
Free with Museum admission; Film only $10, $5 for members and children age 12 and under.
