Classical Drawing Techniques with Illustrator Patrick O’Donnell

Advance your artistic skills with illustrator/video game artist Patrick O’Donnell, who will explore technical, traditional image building techniques for drawing the human figure. Focused on the methods of master draftsman and anatomist George Bridgman, who was Norman Rockwell’s teacher, the class will focus on the golden age disciplines for realizing the human form. Draw from a live model and study from original work by Bridgman himself, featured in the Museum’s permanent collection.

Supply List: 18 x 24 newsprint pad and charcoal or vine charcoal/pencils.

Limited enrollment; advance registration required. $200; $175 members.
