The women in Anita Kunz’s portraits have all changed the world in significant ways. Join us for during April vacation week for artmaking and gallery activities that celebrate the contributions of these trailblazing women from ancient times to today. Get inspired to create art about making a difference in the world! 

Anita Kunz Gallery Tour & Activities – Enjoy a tour of the Anita Kunz “Original Sisters” exhibition with one of our Educators and at your leisure, check out our Anita Kunz Seek & Find scavenger hunt and create a drawing of your own to honor a woman who has made a difference! NRM will share your drawing in the galleries & on the museum website during the Anita Kunz exhibition.  

Tour times : 10:15, 11:30 , 1pm (tours approx. 25 min) 

Artmaking – How Would I Change the World?Create a mixed media self-portrait showing how you would like to make the world a better place! 

Story time – Listen to the amazing stories of women featured in Anita Kunz’s portraits. These courageous women made significant contributions to the world, often overcoming very steep odds.  

Story times : 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm 

Land Acknowledgement

It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, who are the indigenous peoples of this land on which the Norman Rockwell Museum was built. Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
