Meet illustrator Kadir Nelson, whose exhibition is currently on view, for a book signing.  Included with Museum admission, free for kids, teens, and members. Reservations are now closed.

Books may be pre-ordered at time of reservation to guarantee availability; payment required at book signing. Maximum of two books per household for signature, please. Mr. Nelson will do his very best to sign books with personal inscriptions. Hand-signed bookplates may be provided for personal book copies and as an alternative.

Seeking Beauty: A Talk with Kadir Nelson & Friends

A conversation with illustrator Kadir Nelson, writer and critic Cinque Henderson, and socio-political scientist Dr. Jungmiwha Bullock; reception to follow. Tickets $25, includes post-event reception with the speakers and book signing with Mr. Nelson. See the new exhibition: In Our Lifetime: Paintings from the Pandemic by Kadir Nelson, now on view. It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, who are the indigenous peoples of this land on which the Norman Rockwell Museum was built. Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
