Norman Rockwell Museum and Mahaiwe To Present Above the Timberline Radio Play
Norman Rockwell Museum and The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will present the world premiere of Above the Timberline, a radio play based on the critically acclaimed novel by illustrator/author Gregory Manchess. Performed by high school students from Berkshire County, the radio play will be presented on Friday, February 1, starting at 7 p.m, on the stage of The Mahaiwe in Great Barrington.
Norman Rockwell Museum To Present Real and Imagined: A Master Painting Class with Illustrator Gregory Manchess
In conjunction with its current exhibition Gregory Manchess: Above the Timberline, Norman Rockwell Museum will present a master painting class with Gregory Manchess on Saturday, January 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: This workshop has been filled to capacity. Norman Rockwell Museum To Celebrate Cultural Traditions with Members and Donors Holiday Party
In conjunction with its new exhibition Cultural Traditions: A Holiday Celebration, Norman Rockwell Museum will host a seasonal holiday party for its members on Friday, December 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will feature holiday food from around the world, a chance to take in the holiday exhibitions, and activities for the whole family.

Norman Rockwell Museum will present Wonder of the Holidays, an afternoon with Caldecott Award-winning illustrator Jerry Pinkney on Saturday, December 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. Pinkney will share his illustrated stories of holiday wonder, warmth, and cheer by three noted authors.
Illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi to Launch New Holiday Book at Norman Rockwell Museum
Award-winning illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi will return to the Norman Rockwell Museum on Sunday, December 9, starting at 2 p.m. for a special program to celebrate the launch of his new holiday book The Broken Ornament. The artist’s work was previously the subject of the Museum’s 2017/2018 exhibition, Never Abandon Imagination: The Fantastical Art of Tony DiTerlizzi.
Norman Rockwell Museum Explores Cultural Traditions with School Vacation Week Drop-In Art Programs and Talks
In celebration of the season, Norman Rockwell Museum will explore cultural traditions with a week of drop-in art programs to be held Wednesday, December 26 through Sunday, December 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. Inspired by the Museum’s current exhibition Cultural Traditions: A Holiday Celebration, families will have the opportunity to explore the works on view and take home a memento of their own design.

Norman Rockwell Museum Presents Cultural Traditions: A Holiday Celebration
Before the winter solstice, as the days grow shorter, people of every culture long for the return of light. This fall/winter season Norman Rockwell Museum will explore the commonality and distinctiveness of people through the art and stories found in children’s holiday picture books created by six award-winning illustrators. Cultural Traditions: A Holiday Celebration is on view at the Museum from November 17, 2018 through February 10, 2019.

Norman Rockwell Museum will present an afternoon workshop on the art of memoir on Sunday, November 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. Author and educator Jennifer Browdy, Ph.D. will share her insights on the importance and helpfulness of keeping a written account of one’s memory.
Norman Rockwell Museum Presents Paintings in Song—The Four Freedoms
Norman Rockwell Museum will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Norman Rockwell’s Four Freedoms with the musical performance Paintings in Song, to be held at the Museum on Saturday, November 24, starting at 5:30 p.m. Inspired by Norman Rockwell’s art, Paintings in Song is being performed by choral ensemble Crescendo, led by artistic director Christine Gevert and Berkshire-based composer John Myers.
