The Eye is a Window: They say the eye is the window or door to the soul. How have you framed your experiences? How does the frame dictate what you remember? Play with printing, layered drawings, papers, text, image, collage, and more as you delve into the metaphor of the window and the door to journey through one’s personal geography. Take inspiration from artist’s maps of the imagination 1860 to the present.. Make an image which reflects an aspect of your personal journey.  Bring a bagged lunch. Tickets required. $50, $35 members or apply program pass.

Make Visual Stories with Artist Melanie Mowinski
Explore and create personal Geography, book arts, and steamroller art with Melanie Mowinski and her Advanced Design Students from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. These Saturday workshops explore the role of journey, artifact, memory, and imagination in artmaking. Join an individual workshop or sign up for the whole series. Ages 14 and up, with no experience necessary.

Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
