Peter de Sève: Inspired by the Masters
Saturday, May 12
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
An artist celebrated for his fantastical character designs for such blockbuster animated films as A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo, Robots, and the Ice Age series, Peter de Sève has been inspired by the masters of illustration throughout his career—from Edmund Dulac and A.B. Frost to Frank Frazetta and T.S. Sullivant. The artist will discuss the work that has spurred his own creative process, as well as the projects that have engaged him for decades, including art for The New Yorker and such popular illustrated books as The Duchess of Whimsey and A Murder, A Mystery, and A Marriage.
