Norman Rockwell Museum Announces April Vacation Week Activities for Visitors of All Ages

Stockbridge, MA – March 24, 2025 – This April vacation, Norman Rockwell Museum invites visitors of all ages to explore the inspiring stories of trailblazing women through engaging tours, story times, and hands-on artmaking activities. Featuring the work of renowned artist Anita Kunz, the Museum’s special programming offers a unique opportunity to learn about women who have made a lasting impact on history—while sparking creativity in the next generation. Admission is free for kids and teens!
Celebrate Women Who Changed the World
The women in Anita Kunz’s Original Sisters portraits (on view through May 26, 2025) have all shaped history in significant ways. April 21 – 25, the Museum will host special gallery tours and activities that celebrate these groundbreaking women, from ancient times to today. Visitors will be encouraged to reflect on the power of art and activism, and to create their own works inspired by those who have made a difference.
Anita Kunz Gallery Tour & Activities
April 21 – 25
Explore the Anita Kunz Original Sisters: Portraits of Tenacity and Courage exhibition with a Museum Educator, take part in an exciting Seek & Find scavenger hunt, and create your own drawing to honor a woman who has made a difference. Drawings will be displayed in the galleries and on the Museum’s website throughout the exhibition.
Tour Times:
10:15 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm (Tours approx. 25 minutes)
Artmaking – How Would I Change the World?
Visitors will have the chance to create a mixed-media self-portrait illustrating how they would like to make the world a better place. This interactive activity encourages personal expression and reflection on the impact of positive change.
Story Time – Inspiring Tales of Courageous Women
Hear the remarkable stories of women featured in Anita Kunz’s portraits—women who defied the odds and made significant contributions to the world.
