With Christmas now just weeks away, the TODAY Show is bringing back their beloved holiday series, “Merriest Main Street,” where they highlight towns and cities across the country full of holiday cheer and merriment, that attract crowds near and far.

They are kicking off their third season of the series, with the town that is pictured in one of Norman Rockwell’s most famous holiday paintings “Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas.

The TODAY Show will be working with NBC 10 Boston’s Evening Anchor Priscilla Casper who will  report live on the TODAY Show Friday morning outside of the Red Lion Inn on Main Street.

WHAT:
The NBC TODAY Show will be broadcasting a LIVE segment for the “Merriest Main Streets in America” in Stockbridge, MA, on Friday morning, December 6.

The 2-minute + segment will preview the 35th annual Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas holiday celebration, hosted by the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce, and will highlight Norman Rockwell’s iconic painting “Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas”.

    • Crowd scenes filmed and previewed on NBC
  • LIVE coverage begins: 8:25 AM – with a 2 min interview.

DETAILS:
The NBC TODAY Show, together with NBC Channel 10 Boston will be capturing the festive spirit of Stockbridge, one of America’s merriest Main Streets, as it celebrates the holiday season.

The live broadcast will showcase the charm of Stockbridge’s Main Street and the community’s holiday spirit, as well as preview the upcoming Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas celebration, which will take place December 6-8 and feature a full range of holiday activities for all ages at several locations throughout the town  including Norman Rockwell Museum, Berkshire Botanical Garden, Stockbridge Library & Museum, and Naumkeag.
Local residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and be part of this exciting event; in festive attire. Gather in front of the Red Lion Inn.
Please note – parking will be blocked in front of the Inn.

The 35th annual Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas celebration is a beloved tradition, with a variety of events including a visit from Santa Claus, holiday markets, an antique car show, Victorian carolers, and much more.
