Norman Rockwell Museum Announces Curatorial Hires

Stockbridge, MA—March 20, 2024—Norman Rockwell Museum has added two highly experienced museum professionals to its curatorial team. These new curatorial leaders will help further grow and innovate the Museum’s exhibitions and collections mission, as well as returning the Museum’s curatorial staff to pre-pandemic levels and managing the relaunch of its successful traveling exhibitions program.

Seth Fogelman, formerly the Senior Exhibitions Manager and Registrar at the Whitney Museum of American Art, joins Norman Rockwell Museum as Chief of Curatorial Affairs. In this newly created position, Fogelman will advance the administration of exhibitions, collections, traveling exhibitions, collections management space planning, and digital collections management for the future needs of the Museum.

Jane Dini, PhD, most recently the Andrew W. Mellon Senior Curator, American Art, at the Brooklyn Museum, assumes the role of Curator of Exhibitions. Dini will focus on curating exhibitions for Norman Rockwell Museum, as well as contributing to the development of collections and scholarship in close collaboration with the curatorial team.

Norman Rockwell Museum Chief Curator Stephanie Haboush Plunkett continues in her accomplished curatorial role. She will concentrate on curating exhibitions, developing the collections, writing, speaking, and conducting research and scholarship in her expanded role as Rockwell Center for American Visual Studies director and illustration scholar.

“We are delighted to welcome Seth and Jane to Norman Rockwell Museum as inspiring curatorial leaders. These outstanding museum professionals bring the credentials, kindness, and experiences that will add strength to our excellent and dedicated curatorial team, which has been led by and grown over many years by Stephanie Plunkett,” said Director/CEO Laurie Norton Moffatt.

“It’s a pleasure and honor to have Seth and Jane join our devoted curatorial team as we continue our work of developing meaningful and engaging exhibitions and building a world-class illustration art collection,” added Chief Curator Stephanie Haboush Plunkett.
