Norman Rockwell Museum hosts the second annual Art of Brewing Festival, Saturday, August 10, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on the Museum’s covered terrace and lawn. The event features some of the best local brews and beer-friendly cuisines from local food trucks. Artistic inspiration is provided by the art in the galleries and an exclusive pop-up exhibition from Berkshire Brewing Company exploring 25 years the art of the brand on current and past beer cans, with a presentation by one of their artists, Bryant Stewart.

Eight craft brewers will be pouring new and seasonal releases, including Berkshire Brewing Company, Big Elm Brewing, Collective Arts Brewing, Wandering Star Craft Brewery, Shire Breu Hous, Element Brewing Company, Willie’s Superbrew, and Headwater Cider.

Special guest, artist Bryant Stewart will display his art and discuss his process, as he is pushing the envelope of package design with a unique approach. Working with Berkshire Brewing, he is developing an interactive graphic which uses “Anamorphic Design”  –  by creating a distorted flat image to be printed on the inside of the beer carton, which morphs and is viewable only when you put the beer can on the designated spot.

Attendees can view the Museum’s featured exhibits in the galleries from 4 -5:30. Food from Mad Jacks and Braise Worthy food trucks will be available for purchase from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tickets include admission to the Museum, eight sample pours, munchies provided by Berkshire Food Co-op, and a commemorative pint glass: $45, $35 for members, children 18 and under free. Valid ID with proof of age (21+) required to participate in the beer tasting. All ages are welcome to enjoy the food, games, art and music.
