Marek Bennett: Connecting Through Comics
A look at how drawing comics connects artists and readers with people, history, and a sense of place. Cartoonist, musician and educator Marek Bennett will also discuss the power of the mini-comic as an effective and achievable way to self-publish and circulate your art.

The Complete Howard Cruse
Massachusettscomics artist and graphic novelist Howard Cruse will offer a lively look at his art and process.

Jerry Craft: Mama’s Boyz
Syndicated cartoonist Jerry Craft will discuss his award-winning comic strip, Mama’s Boyz, which has been distributed by King Features Syndicate since 1995.

Panel Discussion: Comics Today with Mike Gendreau
Mike Gendreau of Modern Myths Comic Books and Games in Northampton, MA, will discuss trends in comics art and publishing today with artists Sean Wang and Greg Ruth.

Comics Reception and Viewing
Join us for end-of-day refreshments and conversation, and view the comics and drawings that have been created throughout the day.

Add a link to our visual conversation by drawing and posting your own comics panel― part of a sequential series that tells a story devised by our artist/participants.
Artists’ Alley
Artists are invited to share and discuss their work with Museum visitors and fellow creators at our Artists’ Alley. Featured guests will include artists Colin Panetta, Gary Smith, Brett Swanson, George Amaru, David White, Bryant Johnson, Sarah O’Donnell, Marek Bennett, and others.
