Stockbridge at Christmas: A Special Holiday Celebration
Saturday, December 4, 4pm to 7pm

Join us for an evening of wonder and reflection, joy, and a renewed appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. At 4pm, author/children’s book historian Leonard Marcus will offer an illustrated look at Jerry Pinkney’s creative process. At 5:30pm, Carol Birch, one of our nation’s foremost literary storytellers, will spin tales reflecting real life miracles and a diversity of traditions and cultures during this evening filled with creativity, tours, and heart-warming treats. Free with Museum admission. Members and children 18 and under free.


Kids Create! A Special Pre-School Art Program
Wednesday, November 24, December 29, 10:30am to 11:30am

Join us for these dynamic, interactive hands-on gallery experiences for young art lovers, ages two to five, and their caregivers. Children $2, members and grownups free!


School Vacation Week Programs: Page Turners! Exploring the Art of the Picturebook
Sunday through Friday, December 26 to 31 1pm to 5pm

Drop in to explore the art of Jerry Pinkney by creating unique picture books that celebrate favorite folk and fairy tales, personal stories, and real and fictional heroes.

Norman Rockwell: Home for the Holidays

During the holiday season, Norman Rockwell’s anxiously awaited illustrations brought good cheer to millions of Americans who encountered his images on the covers and pages of their favorite magazines, and on holiday cards that brought the spirit of the holidays home. His memorable, enduring images, which reflected the best in us, are on view in this special holiday installation of original artworks and objects.
