Meet Rockwell’s Models!
Find out what it was like to pose for America’s
favorite illustrator! Dick Clemens and Eddie Locke,
models for The Runaway, will discuss Rockwell’s
famous 1958 Saturday Evening Post cover. A printsigning
will follow. Pose for a picture at our Runaway-
inspired counter and create an artwork of your
own. Create a story in book form in a drop-in art
workshop for all ages. Children free. Adults free with
Museum admission.

Art Talk: Illustration in the 1950's
Join illustrator Murray Tinkelman as he takes you for a quick ride through American illustration from the 1950s. From the beat generation to the increasing number of televisions in people’s homes, the Fifties were a decade of transition from traditional post-World War II ideas to the social unrest of the 1960s. Mr. Tinkelman will explore the cultural shifts of 1950s America through a diverse collection of images, created by illustrators working during the decade. Free with Museum admission.

This fun-filled afternoon is designed to showcase the many diverse cultural organizations, which enhance the quality of life in the area. Organizations from across the county will provide you with a cultural sampler of their programming, through hands-on activities, performances, and demonstrations. Free admission.

Spend an evening with renowned portrait artist Everett Raymond Kinstler, whose incisive portrayals of our nation’s celebrated figures reflect an extraordinary personal journey through art. Performers John Wayne, Carol Burnett and Katherine Hepburn, literary giants Tom Wolfe, Arthur Miller and Ayn Rand, and United States Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton have been among the renowned artist’s man illustrious subjects.
