2009 is our 40th anniversary, and we’re celebrating with a summer bash that’s a reunion, block party, and family picnic rolled into one. Peter Rockwell will open the exhibition with lively remarks at 7 p.m. Return to the Museum on Saturday, July 11, for Peter Rockwell Day!

11 a.m. Illustrated walk and talk about the art of carving Join Peter Rockwell for a presentation on the process of building 3D form around an armature in clay.

2 p.m. Exhibition Walk and Talk Explore Fantastical Faces with Peter Rockwell as your guide. His commentary will lead you through indoor and outdoor gallery spaces.

5:30 p.m. Opening Lecture & Book Signing Learn about the history of stone carving and the evolution of Peter Rockwell’s artwork, followed by a book signing and special reception with the artist.
