Join curators, artists, and guest speakers on the second Tuesday of each month for an insightful series of gallery talks. Learn more about the works from our permanent collection and changing exhibitions. These informal talks last approximately 45 minutes, and are free with regular Museum admission.

Changing Exhibition Guided Tour

Deepen your understanding of Over the Top: The Illustrated Posters of World War I by joining a guided exhibition tour. All tours meet in the main lobby, and last approximately 45 minutes. Free with Museum admission.

Living History:
Meet Mr. Butler

Spend some time getting to know Charles Butler, New York City attorney and owner of Linwood, our gracious 1859 Berkshire "cottage" overlooking the Housatonic River. Mr. Butler will greet you in the library to share stories of his life and times and introduce you to the household staff. Space is limited to 20 people maximum; reservations required.

Adult Writing Workshop:
Writing from Life

Join author and editor Vivian Dorsel to discover how your own experience can inspired and inform your writing, whether you work in fiction or creative non-fiction. Bring your journals, letters, and other mementos to stimulate your memories. This workshop will help infuse your writing with a richness of detail and your own unique voice. Bring your favorite writing materials and lunch; beverages and snacks provided. $15 members, $25 non-members. Registration required by January 5, 2009.
